About the event

Develop your bodyweight strength and level up your Calisthenics!

We show you how to develop your strength & movement on the gymnastic rings, paralettes, and pull up bars, and teah you all the right drills you'll need to develop your skills. Suitable for beginners and intermediates, read on for entry standards and recommended pre-requisites

What you'll learn to learn:

  • Foundations of Rings & Bar training
  • Healthy hangwork and shoulder mechanics
  • How to get upside down on the rings and bars
  • Using bands to build strength
  • Developing your own personalised training routine (bring a notebook!)

Skill Development: 

The session will be tailored to the groups abilities and requests, but loosely pursueing the following skills;

  • Skin the Cat
  • Gym Ring inversions
  • L-Sits

Recommended pre-requisites: The standard is aimed at beginners-intermediates. Please take a look at the following pre-requisites to see where you're at.

  • Able to hold on to a bar/rings for >15s
  • Good with being upside down
  • Free from any serious shoulder injuries/mobility limitations (if you can hang from a pull up bar you'll be fine)
