About the event
Our calisthenics coaches Emma and Tom will show you key foundations of calisthenics training, help you build strength, and get to grips with basic calisthenics skills.
WHAT'S IN THE WORKSHOP?
The session will include:
- Foundational strength: pull-ups, dips, core, and everything in between. The first section of the workshop will ensure you understand how to build the strength you'll need to hit the ground running
- Getting to know the rings: have some fun monkeying around on the gymnastics rings, while getting your body used to how to work with the rings, and learn some basic calisthenics movements
- Test your balance: try some basic hand-balance skills (such as frog stand and crow), and practice single-leg movements that will help you improve your balance and core stability
WHO IS THE WORKSHOP AIMED AT?
Anyone who wants to get a kick start to their calisthenics journey. Whether you are a complete beginner who wants to try calisthenics for the first time, or you've already started and want to dive deeper, this workshop is for you!
WHAT TO BRING?
Just yourself, a water bottle, and comfortable unrestrictive clothing. We'll provide the rest!
