Intermediate Bodyweight Training
TELL ME MORE
WTF IS CALISTHENICS? The word calisthenics comes from the ancient Greek words kállos (κάλλος), which means "beauty" and sthenos (σθένος), meaning "strength". Calisthenics (Cali) has a rich history of impressive bodyweight skills practiced by multiple civilisations looking to demonstrate their physical prowess. The equipment-free discipline has evolved and found new enthusiasts in the streets, in prisons, and now in Gyms across the world. WHAT DO WE DO IN THE INTERMEDIATE CLASS? Each Saturday we work on training for a Cali skill (bar rollovers, skin the cat, tuck levers etc) plus training the 4 foundational strength patterns; Pull, Dips, Rows & Push with intermediate adaptations. HOW STRONG DO I NEED TO BE TO DO THIS CLASS? This is our intermediate class, so it's best if you can already do a Pull Up or two, have previous experience of bodyweight exercise, and no fear of going upside down! Don't forget we also run a beginners class Saturdays at 09:15 if you want a simpler start!
